Position Summary
Assisting in preparing cost estimates for construction projects for bidding. Participate in the conceptual development of a construction project. Participates in its organization, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation. Assisting in the day to day operations of specific construction projects and completing them in a safe, cost effective, and timely manner.
Job Details/Duties/Responsibilities
- Miss digs for underground COTD work.
- Customer coordination for site restoration work utilizing sub-contractors and track associated cost.
- Attend weekly workplan and progress meetings with customers on major projects.
- Prepare daily work schedule for COTD (NB underground service work).
- Track Electric Meter numbers and assure accurate data entry COTD.
- Visit COTD worksites and verify readiness for construction and coordinate with CE planning/scheduling.
- Prepare billing and cost tracking for CE URD/OH including data entry, includes EWR’s
- Prepare daily crew rosters and report daily % completion of job by interfacing with Newkirk crews.
- Assist in storm restoration efforts.
- Assist in preparing URD estimates both trenching and directional boring projects.
- Assist in necessary Pre-Job planning and prepare PSSEP’s
- Assist in preparing bid documents required for various customers.
- Assist in preparing schedule of values and inputting data into Microsoft project, includes monthly updates.
- Other duties on an as needed basis.
- Regular, consistent and predictable attendance.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills
- Journeyman License or related electrical construction experience with good working knowledge of construction codes, safety standards, leadership in a commitment to jobsite safety.
- Accubid, Word, Excel, Timberline software knowledge.
- Organization, planning, and prioritizing work.
- Communicating with customers, supervisors, crews, or peers.
- Leadership skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail.
