Michigan State Police Communications Systems

Newkirk was selected by Motorola to build the Michigan State Police communication system. This network provides safety communications throughout the entire State of Michigan – from Detroit to the furthest reaches of the Upper Peninsula. This unprecedented project called for the construction of 181 tower sites to be built in four phases over a five-year period. The system's towers range in height from 300 to 475 feet and include both self-supporting and guyed designs.
