The scope of work was divided over 4 outage windows within the substation. Foundation crews were limited to small working areas with energized 138kV and 345kV bus and equipment adjacent to the new work being performed.
Installation of drilled pier foundations occurred adjacent to energized 138kV and 345kV equipment. The outage windows were limited and crews worked in all weather conditions to complete foundation installation ahead of schedule.
